Hi,

I Would like to know if there is a way to do a daily export of Hotjar instead of instant trigger like the Zap is built.

Because the instant one, is not much useful for us and it make explode the task quota.

Thanks for you help

Hi @Yass_Sidh

FYI: Most Zap apps work on a per record basis.

You’d have explore using the Hotjar API for retrieving bulk data: https://help.hotjar.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023342833-Hotjar-API-

App API’s can be leveraged in Zaps using a Webhooks step: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/integrations#triggers-and-actions

Hi @Troy Tessalone ,

We do use it, but this API of Hotjar is only used for tag users with more context and not retrieve data from them.

But maybe I missed something, do you see documentation about retrieving that ?

Thanks

Hi @Yass_Sidh Matt here jumping in. I’m not sure I understand the workflow you’re trying to build, can you clarify?

Hi @mat,

Thank for replying :)

What we would like to achieve is a daily export from Hotjar to Google Sheet.
By daily I mean, every day at 00:00.

The goal is to build dashboard with Google Data Studio.

The recipe I found works with instant export, it’s a little intense to have instant.

Any idea on how can we acheive this ?

Thanks agin

Hi @Yass_Sidh!

I don’t see a way to do a daily export, but what you could consider is creating a digest of events as they happen, then deliver that digest daily.

You can read more about Digest here:
