Hello, I am completely new to Zapier and need support in creating a Zap.

I would like to automatically create a time entry in bexio after the end of a calendar event.

However, I can’t find the appropriate trigger. Can someone help me with this?

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

I have now created the following Zap:

  1. Outlook - New Calendar Event - I selected an already existing entry as an example.
  2. bexio - Create Time Tracking - Type: Range, Assignment: Start Time and End Time from the example entry, with the 1st Subjectline as text.

This worked.

What calendar app are you using? That’s the one that should hopefully have an “event ended” trigger.

If not, we’ll have to find some other workaround.

Hi David.

I use Microsoft Outlook Calendar

I can see that outlook calendar doesn’t have a native “event ended” trigger. That’s going to make things more complicated.

Could you trigger on “event started,” and then add the amount of time the meeting is scheduled to last as the time in Bexio?

Or, theoretically, if outlook did have a trigger for “event ended”, how would you calculate the time to enter in Bexio?

Hey there, @Nichcar86 👋

Just came across this and wanted to check in—did you try DavidLGS’s suggested approach of triggering on the start of the event and using the duration of the event for the time entry Bexio?

Or did you find a different solution? If so, we’d love to hear about it!

Looking forward to hearing from you! 😁
