current software: Lead pages, mailer-lite and zapier

Have a FB conversion ad not a lead ad for a free workshop, they go to Leadpages form, then the subscriber gets added into my mailerlite CRM, then into a group.  Doesn’t work. When a subscriber clicks on ad and submits form, I just get a email from leadpages that lead@email submitted opted in form. the subscriber doesn’t added into my mailer-lite account.

Does anyone know how to get this process done? I’m currently paying for upgrade to Zapier for premium zaps for FB leads, Do I need this?   thanks in advance.

Do you have a Zap configured already for this workflow automation?

Leadpages trigger via Zapier

MailerLite action via Zap

Yes

@Cindy Keil Please provide screenshots of how your Zap steps are configured in order for use to troubleshoot further, thanks.

This is a screen shot via video I created.

Thanks so much!

Check the Zapier Task History: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Troubleshooting Tips

  1. Is the Zap ON?
  2. Has a new lead been submitted via Leadpages after the Zap has been turned ON?
  3. Did the Zap trigger but result in an error on the action step?
  4. Did you refresh MailerLite after the Zap successfully processed then search for the new lead details?

Troy,

  1. Yes the zap is on
  2. Yes I sent several
  3. I received a email from leadpages each time stating someone has opted in, but the subscriber was not added to mailerlite

  1. yes

@Cindy Keil

Did you check if Zaps triggered and processed or returned an error in the Zapier Task History: https://zapier.com/app/history/

If the Zap is NOT triggering then the issue is with the Leadpages Trigger step.

@Cindy Keil From the Loom it looks like the Zaps are triggering and resulting in a Success.

Make sure you are testing with unique email addresses for each test lead.

Check the DATA OUT tab for the MailerLite action step, which should give you more info about the Lead that was created, such as the internal Lead ID that you may be able to use to lookup in MailerLite.

Troy,

Do you think this is a mailerlite issue?

Troy,

Do I need the facebook premium zap?

Can’t say yet, because I haven’t been able to see the DATA OUT from the MailerLite action step in the Zap.

Troy,

Do I need the facebook premium zap?

No, if you are NOT using Facebook Lead Ads, but you originally mentioned you were only using FB Conversion Ads.

Yes, if you are using Facebook Lead Ads.

Data out

The MailerLite step is processing successfully according to the Zapier Task History Details.

Notice the type is set to UNCOMFIRMED, which may prevent the email from showing in MailerLite until the email address confirms their opt-in.

That usually means the MailerLite settings are configured for double opt-in, meaning the Subscriber has to click a link in a confirmation email to become CONFIRMED.

Check the settings in MailerLite to see if you can disable the double opt-in for new Subscribers.

In the Zap, try setting the Resubscribe field to ‘True’.

###

URL: https://app.mailerlite.com/subscribers/single/iSubscriberID]

EXAMPLE: Copy/paste the Subscriber ID from MailerLite DATA OUT section (show below in the screenshot), and replace that in the nSubscriberID] in the link above, then enter that new URL into the browser.

TIP: Make sure to test the Leadpages with a unique email address to help with tracing/troubleshooting.

Troy,

I attempted to put the ID # in there and it will not do anything.

I also removed the double optin and made the resubscribe to true

then I completed leadpages form and it didn’t add the subscriber in mailerlite

@Cindy Keil

The issue is likely to do with the UNCONFIRMED type mentioned above.

  1. Did you try adjusting the Subscribe settings in MailerLite from Double Opt-In to Single Opt-In? Check here: https://app.mailerlite.com/configuration/subscribe
  2. Did you try adjusting the Zap to Resubscribe=True?
  3. Did you test again with a unique email address after making those changes?
  4. Did you check the Zapier Task History details to see if the Zap triggered for the new test and/or any errors?
  5. Did you search MailerLite for the new subscriber?

In MailerLite are you viewing the correct filtered results of Subscribers?

Article: https://mailerlite.supporthero.io/article/show/33734-do-unconfirmed-subscribers-receive-my-newsletters

When someone signs up with double opt-in, their status will be Unconfirmed until they click the link in the confirmation email. No emails are sent to Unconfirmed subscribers. Once they click the link, the status changes to Active and that's when the automation will trigger.

Ok I will check/do all above per your direction and advise.

Thanks so much for taking the time to assist me with this!
