Hello everyone, I’m new to Zapier and I’m a bit overwhelmed!  I have a zap set up that when a lead is submitted via a Lead Form on Facebook it drops in name, email, phone to a google sheet.  I also have it drop in the timestamp info.

My question is how can I format that date and time?  I see there is a “Formater by zapier” but I’m confused as to how to target the date in the spreadsheet with that app.

Any help is very much appreciated!

Hi @jburnard ,

Thanks for reaching out! I see you’ve been in contact with our Support team who seem to have helped get you squared away!

To help other members who may have a similar question, I’m sharing their response below. Let us know if you have any additional questions!

“For the formatter issue, you'll want to use a custom value for the To Format and plugin the specific values you need from this table: https://zapier.com/help/create/format/modify-date-formats-in-zaps#date-time-custom-value-table

So if you needed time only and in 12hr format, you would set the To Format as Custom and then use something like these values: h:mmA

The above example, h:mmA, would format the time to 12-hour format, no leading zeros, with capitalized AM/PM.

For more info on working with custom values in dropdown fields, check out our article here: https://zapier.com/help/create/customize/add-custom-values-to-dropdown-menu-fields-in-zaps
