Hi,

I recently built out a Zap that takes information from a certain Google Sheet, looks up an opportunity record type in Salesforce, and then can push information from the Google sheet into that designated field. For a variety of weird an annoying reasons, the order of row details in the Google sheet will consistently change (daily) so adding a new row to push that information to SF will not work.

Is there a way to build into the Zap some sort of check on the field I want to push the information to in Salesforce and only update that field if its blank or different from the google sheet value?

Thanks!

Chris

Hey there,  @Chris Y.! Thanks for reaching out in community. 🤗

Hmm, so it sounds like you’re looking to prevent the zap from moving forward unless the trigger source data is different from the Salesforce field it’s writing into or if the Salesforce field is empty?

If so, you may be able to do this using Filter by Zapier.

It might take some playing around but here’s a help article on fixing “empty fields” and another similar question that could be useful.

Do you think that could work?
