Hey! I’ve tooled around and gotten *somewhere* but need some help.

I run a small music venue and I have a google from that I ask artists to fill out. I would like that information from the gform (or the gsheet it sends to) to create a new event in gcal. I would like the name & date of the event to match the appropriate submission fields. I would like all the other submitted information (from form questions) to be visible when I click on the appropriately named and dated event on the gcal.

Open to any and all help!

Hi @phyianno ,

this is actually very easy. You can make a zap where the trigger is the form submission and then add an action that is creating a Google Calendar event with the necessary information. Where are you exactly stuck?

Hey thanks for the fast response!

When I get to the configure stage for “create detailed event” on gcal, there are mandatory fields of “Event Start” and “ Event End”. This makes sense, but I get lost here. It seems to make me want to choose a date that was already filled out, as opposed to being filled out with whatever the respondant gives. I could totally be missing something obvious

Hi @phyianno

Try these Zap steps:

  1. Trigger: GForms - New Form Response
  2. Action: GCal - Create Detailed Event

Hi @phyianno, just checking in—were you able to get this sorted?

Let us know if you still need any help, want to make sure you’re all set 🙂
