Hello community, newbie here. I had some practice already with Zapier for few last month. I got one serious issue I can’t handle myself, I checked the topics here about same problem, but mostly of them about not correct using of attachment ID types.
I have question about Trello and Google Drive integration, to upload files from Trello to Google Drive and return them to trello card as a shared links from google drive. I made my first zap, when card in Trello had 1 attached .txt file and Zap worked well. I was creating folder in GD (by the name of Trello Card), create .txt file in that folder and return them as a shared link in trello card. That automation work well (size of txt just few KB).
Than I did the same type of Zap but next step of my automation - that means that card in Trello moves next on board and than is added second attachment wav. So I have now two attachments txt and wav and I require to Upload wav on Google Drive by the same way, but my next automation was unsuccessful… I can’t find a reason why. Maybe someone can help me. Does the hydrate massive can’t be splitted by Zapier on separate files, and it’s impossible to upload both files from Trello to Google Drive, (and there requires to use some webhooks or APi calls) or I just made a mistake and there is something incorrect in my second zap? Here is the screen of non working automation. Btw wav file size is (3 mb). (Currently using trial free account to practice, but the glitch I got at the end seems technical) - Thanks for any help!

Hi @SpaceSpice
Make sure to test each Zap step again.
Try turning the Zap ON and testing live.
Then check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/
Hi there @SpaceSpice,
I just came across your post here and wanted to check in here to see how you’re getting on. Were you able to follow Troy’s suggestion here?
Please do let us know if you’re still in need of some help on this at all - happy to assist further!
Hello, no I didn’t get success with this one
I don’t know why. I found out that when card updated on that step in Trello Dashboard (moved next position on dasboard+added wav file) I got in Zap data of two separate records (I didn't notice this before, after digging through the found records, I found “New Activity G” an update of the card with a very sweet Data Attachment URL\ with exactly that wav file I require (not the hydrate||| data massiv) and was hoping “now it should work” ive changed zap with Google Drive Upload file on that field and…
“Failed to create a file in Google Drive
The app returned "unauthorized permission requested".
As I mentioned before it works well with txt, but not work with wav file. I tried to make zap other way, not using Find Trello Card (as zap). But insted make a webhook to Trello, and try to get links on attached files other way. I checked APi documentation on Trello and made APi connection, tested it with a web.postman and got that links on 3 files (1 google drive) and 2 that I require
I was hoping to make Webhook the same way in Zapier, and I made it but
I get only 1 link with Zap Webhook (google drive file) but not on all 3 files as was found same way by APi call check through web.postman. So I didn’t solved this problem yet. I’m not a big expert in APi, I know there is a way how to tune Webhook by Zapier to show all the data on that APi call, and surely get all 3 links but I don’t know how.
Hi @SpaceSpice
For the “unauthorized permission requested” error you got I expect that’s due to the Data Attachment URL from Trello being selected instead of the file object e.g. Attachment (Exists but not shown). When a url for a file is used it needs to be a publicly-accessible link to download the file otherwise the app that’s attempting to access it won’t be able to. See Send files in Zaps for more details.
It’s really odd that you’re not seeing an array of attachments and their details like you’re seeing when testing in Postman. It seems like that might be due to an issue with how it’s interpreting the response from Trello’s API. So I’d recommend reaching out to our Support team about this so that they can investigate and get a bug report opened so our engineers can work on getting that fixed.
Please do keep us updated on how you get on with them, keen to ensure this gets sorted!

As I described in my first message when I created this thread I was using Data Attachement (Exist bun not shown) it’s includes hydrate||| data. And as I said on the beggining, it was successfuly working on txt file. But not worked when I got two files attached in Trello card txt + wav. Somehow I can’t upload on Google Drive - wav file. So than I tried to use other ways such as link and webhook to get data that way.
Thanks for advice! I’ll try to reach Support team about this, but firstly want to test few more things, if they work or not, and will update with information here.
@SpaceSpice
Try using this Zap action: Looping - Create Loop from Line Items
So far my tests didn’t made any success got the message Error while hydrating data from Trello “the app returned File not Found”. Will try few more ways tomorrow
