Question

"Find or Create Record in Airtable" not updating existing records

I’d like to create a new record in Airtable when someone signs up for a meeting in Calendly. However, if a record already exists with the same email I’d like to just update some fields.

Seems like the “Find or Create Record in Airtable” action would be perfect for this. It works fine in creating new records, but if never updates records when it finds an existing email/record.

Hi @tinycareteam

Try these Zap Steps

  1. Trigger: Calendly - Invitee Created
  2. Action: Airtable - Find/Create Record
  3. Action: Filter
    1. if Record Found = TRUE
  4. Action: Airtable - Updated Record
    1. map the Record ID from Step 2

Hi @Troy Tessalone - for step 3 in your solution, do I choose “Zap Data Was Found”? I don’t see a “Record Found” option.

Thanks!

@tinycareteam

Yes.

Filter Condition:

Zap Data Was Found | contains | True
