Question

Find Multiple Notion Database Items Based on Date Range

Hello!

I am trying to set up a Zap that triggers once a day and finds all Notion database items that have a date property up to 3 days after it triggers. I have a class schedule in Notion and want to set up an automated email that sends to us when a class doesn’t have enough sign ups to run 3 days before it happens. We have up to 10 events per week, so some are on the same day. I can’t figure out how to find multiple database items in Notion without it checking every single item once a day (that would cost way too many Zaps).

I’m still relatively new to Zapier, all advice is welcome!

Thanks

Hi @cleosyarnshop

Most Zap app triggers/actions work based on a single record.

For your case with multiple records, you would likely have to use the Notion API: https://developers.notion.com/

Zap action: Notion - API Request

Hey there, @cleosyarnshop 👋

We’ve got an existing feature request for a “Find Database Items” Notion search action that would return multiple database items, instead of just a single database item. Which was discussed over here as well:

So I’ve gone ahead and added your vote to that feature request. While I can’t guarantee when this might be added, we’ll be sure to notify you via email if it becomes available!

In the meantime, did you have any luck with that API Request action Troy suggested? Happy to lend a hand if you’re still stuck at all.
