Question

Find a contact in Microsoft Outlook

I thought I’m planning to build a simple Zap, but apparently it’s not that simple.

Idea: Incoming Call in Placetel, searching in Outlook for the specific Contact, posting a Message in Teams

But when connecting Outlook, yes I can choose the action event “Find a Contact”, but unfortunately I can only search for Name and E-Mail. Why it’s not possible to search for phone numer?

Does somebody know a workaround?

Hi @lib_zap 

Outlook (and same with Google Contacts) are email based, thus email is the primary key to search by along with name.

Unfortunately as you’ve encountered searching for a Contact by Phone Number is not currently possible.
