It would be nice for Zapier to have built-in staging and production environments, similar to traditional development platforms.
For example, I use one Zap for testing, connected to my staging accounts, and then copy all my changes to my production Zap, which is connected to real accounts. This process can sometimes be time-consuming and confusing.

Sorry you’ve not had a reply here sooner. This would be a great feature for us to have! I've passed this along to our Product team for consideration. Hopefully it’s something we’d be able to offer in the future so you don’t have to manually copy over changes between Zaps.

Completely agree. Having separate staging and production environments would make life a lot easier, especially for larger Zaps. Right now, testing changes in one Zap and then manually copying everything over is not only tedious, it's also an easy way to miss a step or introduce mistakes. A proper promote-to-production workflow would be a huge quality-of-life improvement.
