Hello, I receive auto generated emails in Gmail for new lead enquiries. 

The data I am trying to capture is where the lead comes from. It is not always in the same place on the email body due to the amount of information supplied in the enquiry section but the format is always the same.

What I want to extract and send to a Google Sheet (the same sheet) is:

A specific email address and a specific email subject.

  1. Referral Source: (this could be a website or leaflet drop, Google AdWords)
  2. Referral Campaign: 
  3. Referral Medium:
  4. Page Enquiry Made on:
  5. Enquiry date & time:
  6. Project id

Number 1 - 6 is auto filled when the enquiry is made. The answers to 1-6 is what I need to extract.

I currently have 15 different referral sources and this could grow. The largest having 22 characters.

 

This is the information I want to see on a Google sheet so after 1 month of leads, I can calculate the number of different sources and I can see what is the greater lead generator.

 

Not 100% sure how to set up the email parser extractor part, several test have failed so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi ​@JammerS , as ​@Troy Tessalone had suggested, I have used the AI function to try and set it up. 

I can create the steps and receive the information however the results aren’t bringing back the right data i need. 

Being a newby, the AI is helping me set it up but struggling so any info would be great. Even the FAQ donest really cover off what I want - is it even possible.

 

Scenario, I receive auto generated emails from our HO system that tells us we have a new lead.

These details within the email body doesn’t change, however the results do:

  1. Referral Source: XXXX
  2. Referral Campaign: XXXX
  3. Referral Medium: XXXX
  4. Page Enquiry Made on: XXXX
  5. Enquiry date & time: XXXX
  6. Project id: XXXX

I need to extract the XXXX information and place it in my Google sheet with the headings that already exist (being 1-6)

The XXXX of number 1 (Referral Source) could be - Google AdWords, Our Web-site, Phone Call etc.

I need to look at how I extract that information and return it to the Google sheet.

Line 1 if counting characters - would be starting from 18 characters.
