Question

Does =TODAY() in Google Sheets trigger as an update to the row?

I’m trying to set up a trigger such that I scrape data from 1 google sheet to another google sheet once a day.

The only way I can do this is to get todays date via =TODAY() in a cell.

When the date changes, the corresponding figure in =TODAY() will also change.

But will this trigger my zap? Seems to not for some strange reason...

Hi @Jeffrey

Perhaps you can describe you use case more for needing to move data between 2 GSheets.

Perhaps post screenshots about how your Zap steps are configured.

Maybe consider using an operational database app such as Airtable instead of GSheets: https://zapier.com/apps/airtable/integrations

Airtable has built in Automations, Views with Filters that can be used to trigger Zaps, and integrate well with Zapier.
