Hello there, about 10 months ago I connected my Zapier account to a Gravity form successfully and is is working fine too.
Today I tried to do the same for a new integration but when I look at the Add On section in the Gravity form I have no option to paste in the Zapier webhook. See attached.

I checked the Zapier Add On-in Gravity settings and its still installed. See attached ‘Zapier Add On’.
I read online about the need to upgrade to the latest Add-on Im wondering if that is the issue? I have not upgraded the Add-on since installing it 10 months ago.

Hi @Integration curious

Yes, Gravity Forms released a new version of their Zapier add-on.

Read about it here: https://www.gravityforms.com/blog/zapier-add-on-v4-0-release/

As a workaround, you can use the Gravity Forms Webhooks add-on, which behaves the same as the old Gravity Forms Zapier add-on where a webhook URL can be placed: https://www.gravityforms.com/add-ons/webhooks/

Thanks for this Troy,

It seems as though the latest version of Zapier Add-On is what is causing the issue per their release notes.

  • Removed the add new button from the feeds list page.

I was previously using this method to establish the connection between Gravity and Zapier.
Can anyone from Zapier speak to this? Is the way only to setup a new integration through the rest API V2?

@Integration curious

Try this workaround…

It’s how I usually configure Zaps for my clients:

As a workaround, you can use the Gravity Forms Webhooks add-on, which behaves the same as the old Gravity Forms Zapier add-on where a webhook URL can be placed: https://www.gravityforms.com/add-ons/webhooks/

The Zap trigger would be Webhook Catch Hook: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/help

Hey @Integration curious!

That’s correct. The authentication method is different with the latest version of the Gravity Forms integration so a webhook url is no longer needed in order to connect your Zaps to Gravity Forms - just the Gravity Forms Site URL, Consumer Key and Consumer Secret details are needed. You can see the new process for connecting to your Gravity Forms account here: How to Get Started with Gravity Forms

If you would prefer to connect to Gravity Forms using specific webhooks you can, as Troy suggested, switch to using a Webhooks by Zapier (Catch Hook) step as the trigger. Then in the set up for the Gravity Forms Webhooks add-on you’d enter in the webhook URL from the Zap so that Gravity Forms knows which Zap to send the webhooks through to.

I’d recommend making a copy of your existing Gravity Forms Zaps though, before making any changes so that you have a copy of the Zap’s original set up for reference.

Hope that helps to clarify! :)
