Does checking for new trigger data count as a task?

Hello,

I’m looking forward to move from make to zapier, but there’s something that i don’t undertand.

My Zap is Excel (onedrive) to twitter, and I would like to trigger the zap when a new row is added to the excel sheet.

The issue comes on how to set this up?

On free plan, zapier will check every 15 minutes for new values in the table, on premium plan, every 2 min. But does it count as a task (checking if new value) ?

Thank you,

Sincerely,

Chris

Hey @Chrustuf! When we check for new data, that is not something we bill for. It’s only when we take action with data should we find anything new. I would also recommend the article Troy sent along to learn about what counts as a task vs. what doesn’t. 🙂

Here’s a help article to learn more about Tasks: https://zapier.com/help/manage/history/learn-about-tasks-in-zapier
