Develop Zap to interface with Ecuadorean Accountig system with API

I have a charity client who operates in Ecuador and who uses Contifico  online accounting, a local Ecuadorean system. This system does not appear to have any native transaction import but it does have an API.

Is developing a ZAP using an API to import transactions a task for which one should allow days or weeks assuming we have good documentation on the API?

Are there any best practice models to be followed?

Hi @Zygmunt!

That really depends on what you’re trying to accomplish with the API and your experience level. I think the best thing is to give it a try and see how far you can get in an hour. That should be enough time to see where you run into roadblocks, if any.

If you’re having trouble with Webhooks or Code by Zapier, an alternative would be to use the Zapier developer platform to build a private app.

We don’t have any best practices specifically for using an app’s API directly, but that’s a great idea! Please let us know if you have any questions as you’re working through it :)
