Hi everyone!

I’m new to the community and to ZAP overall.

I’m trying to create a ZAP that captures information via an online form and generates Contacts in my CRM (D365). The first step that I must have for this ZAP is so it searches for duplicates (using e-mail address) within my existing database before creating a new record.

How do I generate this step?

Thanks a lot!

Hi @PHCNA!

With MS Dynamics 365 you should be able to use one of these search actions:

If you use Find Contact then you’ll then need to add a Filter step after it, to only continue if nothing was found. If you use Find or Create Contact, that’s precisely what it’s intended for. If no contact is found, then one will be created :)

Hey Nick!

Could you possibly do a quick flow repro to see what exact steps I should take when adding the filter?

I got a little lost when I tried to use the “Find Contact” step but there was nothing that could limit it to a simple e-mail detection.

Thanks again :)

Hi all

My contact imports to the CRM (iXact) twice! It’s from FB or IG, both!

Also I receive 2 text messages for notification.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks
