Question

"Delete spreadsheet row" with Google Sheets without making blank row?

I am setting up a zap to rotating data in speadsheet.

my first attempt is using “Lookup spreadsheet row”, “Create speadsheet row” with data from found row, then “Delete spread sheet row”

but that actually made blank row after deleting a row like bellow.

is there good way to delete row without making blank row?

or is there good action trim those empty rows with action?

@Yusuke Ando

Unfortunately, as you’ve seen - the delete row action step just clears the row. It’s not possible to fully delete rows with Zapier.

One workaround would be to use sorting within the Google Sheet to make blank rows move to the bottom.

Thanks for hint.

the sort will apply automatically without doing sort on Google Sheet UI?
I am assuming the sort require manual action on UI.

@Yusuke Ando

Turns out it’s a bit harder than I thought to keep a sort applied permanently.

Here are some potential solutions I found: https://webapps.stackexchange.com/questions/7211/how-can-i-make-some-data-on-a-google-sheets-auto-sorting
