Question

Definition of Zapier Delay

If I use Delay am I getting the most current data?

My trigger is the creation of a new lead file in our CRM. The action is to create a row in a google sheet and populate it with data from the new CRM file.

If I use a zapier delay, is the data from the CRM queried at the time of the trigger, or is it queried after the specified delay time? Meaning, am I importing the most current data into the google sheet?

Thank you!

Hi there, from my knowledge the data would queried at the time of the trigger.

@Seun Debiyi is correct.

Your data will be grabbed from the CRM at the time of trigger. If you add a delay step, your zap will then be frozen in time, before creating the Google Sheet row. Zapier won’t re-query your CRM after the delay.

Thanks for the feedback Andrew and Seun. I will try to figure out a way to go back in and get the most current data from the CRM. Thanks again. -Amy
