Creating a Google Drive folder and setting up new file notifications

I have a zap that creates a new folder on a Google Drive shared drive each week.  Currently I am opening Zapier and updating another zap to set that new weekly folder as a trigger that sends me a slack notification when new files are uploaded.  Is there a way that I can automate that process so that when the folder is created it updates the notification zap to the new folder?  I tried storing the ID of the folder when it’s created and setting the notification zap to use the ID in storage but couldn’t find a way to do it.  Any ideas?
