Create custom Shopify order with Typeform

Hi everyone!

I have a Shopify Store and want to sell a custom health product. I need to ask the customer a few questions before I can let him order my product. For that I created a Typeform that he can fill out. The idea is that the customer just answers a few questions to create an account and to get directed to the shopping basket with the product in it. He can then just click order. I on the other side can then see his product wishes attached to the order. Do you know if and how I can make it possible to:

1. automatically create a user account from the information the customer provides in the form and then

2. somehow attach the product relevant information to the order.

For the add to basket requirement you’d likely have to leverage the Shopify API: https://shopify.dev/api/ajax/reference/cart

 

App APIs can be used in Zaps with the Webhooks app or Code app…

I am a starter and don’t get how this works.

 

Let me ask differently. When a customer creates an account, can I show him my typeform afterwards and then send the information he provides to the Shopify backend to paste it into the customer’s notes?

So Zapier needs to understand that customer1 completed my survey and paste it in the notes of customer1

Depend how the Shopify account is being created. (e.g. on it’s own or automatically as part of an order)

There is an Shopify Update Customer Zap action available.
