Hi, I am using a native web form with a Zapier integration to get contacts onto my Mailchimp audience and they will then receive an automated welcome email with an ebook download. Everything is firing correctly for new contacts.

However, I want to clear my Mailchimp audience so I know that everyone that is on the audience list has received the ebook. This is where the issue comes in.

If I delete a contact on Mailchimp, they are not being added back through the form. When I run a test on Zapier, it says this contact was permanently deleted and cannot be added back.

Anyone know a way around this?

Hey @Risebrand,

I think it’s the restriction on the Mailchimp side as once you delete them only way to add them again is through Mailchimp hosted form due to privacy laws. You may want to archive rather than delete them so that you can easily add them later.

Hi @Risebrand 👋

To expand on the above, MailChimp doesn't allow emails to be re-subscribed once they have been deleted + removed. In this case, Double Opt-in won't work. You will only be able to have these emails subscribe through a MailChimp signup form: https://mailchimp.com/help/delete-contacts/#How_it_works
When an email has been archived, setting the Double Opt-in box to YES in the Zap Editor should do the trick.

I hope this helps!
