Consumer Secret -- what does this mean?

What does Zapier mean by “Consumer Secret?” Like should I make one up for each account I am connecting? Should I have one already? Does this need to be stored somewhere in a PW vault? 

 

Sorry for the novice questions, would be nice if it had a little “learn more” or hover feature to explain.

For Gravity Forms, when you create a new Consumer Key it should also generate a Consumer Secret for you to use.
