"Confirmation Mail" !!! Whenever a new row is created in a spreadsheet -> Send an Email to a cell from the Spreadsheet

Dear community,

 

I would like whenever a new row in my google sheet is created to send a “confirmation mail” to the email-address the person has provided. 

 

Is this possible?

Hi @eyf2023, hope you’re doing well!

 

Yes, it is possible to create a Zap that sends an email confirmation when a row is added onto Google Sheet, you can use the following steps to do this:

 

  • Trigger: New Spreadsheet Row in Google Sheet
  • Action: Send Email in Gmail

Here’s a template that can help you get started: https://zapier.com/apps/gmail/integrations/google-sheets/133/send-gmail-emails-for-new-google-sheet-spreadsheet-rows

The Gmail step can be substituted for another email service. Here’s a list of Email apps that Zapier supports: https://zapier.com/apps/categories/email
