Hi everyone,

I’m newer to chatbots, and originally I didn’t have lead logic turned on.  I do want to have that feature, but I want it to be a little customized.

- Bypass the lead collection in specific situations.
- Ask the lead questions with specific verbiage.

I have this in the instructions, but it doesn’t seem to be overriding the normal logic info.  Is there a way to get that adjusted, and what is the most efficient way to accomplish that?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Brando81,

Welcome to the Community.

Customizing lead logic in a chatbot enhances its effectiveness. Start by understanding your platform's capabilities, as customization methods vary. Use conditional logic to skip lead collection when needed and explore custom scripts or code for greater flexibility. Leverage custom fields and variables to tailor responses based on prior interactions. After implementation, test thoroughly and refine as needed. If challenges arise, seek guidance from platform support or community forums.

You can customize your chatbot's logic by leveraging these strategies to better suit your needs. If you need more specific advice or run into any roadblocks, feel free to provide additional details, and we’ll be happy to assist you further.

That’s what I’m trying to do.  I’m using the Zapier platform.

It seems like the lead collection logic is overriding the instructions.  Are there specific code or notes to make the chatbot prioritize the instructions for the lead collection questions?
