I am currently trying to hook up Facebook with Salesforce.

If a person clicks on an add or ends up purchasing a product (linked from Facebook), I’d like to capture that in Salesforce. But it looks like the only option I have is for a FB post or lead. I’ve had the lead zap running for a week with no results.

I’d like to capture customer information using a zap but it does not look like it is possible. Am I missing something or are leads really the only thing that can be zapped?

Hey there @rachh -

You’d need to trigger the Salesforce record creation from the system where the order is being made, not Facebook. Say your workflow is:

  • Link from Facebook to Shopify
  • Customer buys on Shopify

You’d need to zap data from Shopify → Salesforce, not Facebook → Salesforce.

Facebook lead gen forms can certainly create a record in Salesforce using Zapier, but a link wouldn’t be able to.
