Can you send a email through Gmail using an email provided in a Trello Card?

I'm trying to find a way to automatically update customers on the progress of their job as it moves through our Trello board.

An example of what I would like to have happen is if I move a job card to "In Production" the customer receives an e-mail updating them that their job is being worked on.

I was thinking that creating a Trello comment in the job card with just the customer's e-mail might work but I'm not sure since the triggers and results are a bit confusing to me.

Hi @AlexsandraF

Welcome!

So, just include the customers email address in the Trello card description (preferably at the start).

If you create a zap that triggers on a Trello card moving between lists, one of the fields you get from that is card description.

Then, you can use a "Formatter->Text->Extract Email" step to get the customers email address and send them an email.
