HI there!

I’m interested in using the Zapier plug-in on my site for a number of automations.

One key one is product review request emails. Unfortunately I can’t email the Zapier Woo plug-in team without a subscription, but until I know whether it can do what I want, I’m not ready to buy a subscription - I’ve already tried 3 automator plug-ins that didn’t deliver on expectations and wasted a lot of money! I’m hoping Zapier can deliver 🤞

For the product review emails I use ActiveCampaign, but the AC integration with Woo doesn’t pull sufficient data from to fully customise product review emails:

In short, I want to create emails that pull product name, photo and URL per order, and ideally link directly to the review tab within the review request emails. Many of my customers make multiple purchases in a single order, and rather then send review request emails per product, I’d like to send review requests per order.

I’m hoping to create an email similar to this (which was created via AutomateWoo - one plug-in that was great for review emails but didn’t work for the other automations I needed):

Does anyone know if The Zapier Woo plug-in pulls enough data to send to AC so I can create fully customised emails?

This is an advanced approach, but via the WC API, you can pretty much do whatever you need to via the available Endpoints and Data Points.

I had read through the first two articles you linked before posting, but it’s still not clear to me that the plug-in can pull the specific data that I need for the action of sending a tailored product review request email to customers. None of the examples show this kind of sequence, and I can’t find any tutorials about it either.

I’m hoping to find folks who’ve set up the same, or very similar, zaps to get some reassurance that yes - this can definitely be done. As I mentioned, I’m hesitant as I’ve purchased several automation plug-ins that all promised to deliver, only to find that they couldn’t/didn’t, or there were limitations, after purchase.

If anyone has set up this kind of zap - which I would have thought was fairly common? - I’d love to hear from them! Or if there are tutorials/examples I’ve missed, I’m happy to be pointed in the right direction.

Most Zap automation workflows are unique to the user’s requirements, which is why there will not be examples/guides available as there are infinite possibilities to configure between the 8.5k Zap app integrations let alone the even more available triggers/actions.

 

In short, it’s possible, but will may likely involve using advanced approaches with the WC API and custom Code to get the data into the desired format you want.

Just checking in to see if you were able to figure out your Woo commerce and Active campaign workflow. It’s frustrating to see you wasted money on other automation solutions and not able to achieve the desired workflow. Are there custom fields that are not showing up for you in Active Campaign? If there are custom field, they will show up in meta data if you see here -https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-zapier-integration/#section-19

As mentioned above as well, most of things are possible in Zapier but sometimes you have to take more technical approach by using custom code and API.
