Can the same app be used for both the trigger and the action?

I am using Thrivecart and trying to move subscribers to non-subscribers by offering a lifetime deal (they’ve been paying monthly, now I am offering them a one-time payment to stop paying monthly).

I tried to set up a zap to trigger when a product is purchased in Thrivecart, but when I went to the action hoping to be able to cancel their subscription, Thrivecart is greyed out. It doesn’t let me choose it again.

Is it not possible to use the same app for both the trigger and the action? Thanks!

Hi @paulcola

Good question.

Yes, it’s possible for apps to have both triggers and actions available.

However, Thrivecart only has Zap triggers available.

You can try using the Thrivecart API: https://apidocs.thrivecart.com/

App APIs can be used in Zaps with the Webhooks app: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/help

Yeah, I just figured out that ThriveCart doesn’t have those available. Thanks for the info and the suggestion! I will have to do this manually for now, but will keep this in mind. I appreciate your time!
