Hi everyone,

We are currently receiving facebook lead ads into our CRM (Hubspot) but without the facebook lead id, that is why I want to create a zap to create a contact in Hubspot when new lead in Facebook lead ads (this time including the Facebook lead id) but I am wondering if there is a chance to duplicate my contacts.

Can you please help me to clarify this doubt?

and what do you recommend to do?

Hi @QueryMate

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

To ensure I got it right, you’re asking if you could trigger the Zap with existing records. Is that correct?

If so, you can use Transfer feature of Zapier to do so. Check this link for more information: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496274335885#4-connect-the-source-app-account-0-3

Otherwise, let me know so I can check for you! 😊

Hi @Charie

My question is if once I trigger the zap, is there a chance to duplicate the records? Because, currently we are reciving facebook leads  into our CRM, but those are not coming with the most important parameter = facebook lead ID. So, to fix it, I wanted to create a zap to send the leads with the parameters I need, but I am concerned about this practice can duplicate the records.

What do you recommend to do? for this scenario, which one shoud I use, Tranfer or Zap ?

Thanks,

Ana

Hey there @QueryMate,

I’m jumping in to see if I can help!

Maybe you can try creating another Zap by setting them up like this:

  1. Trigger: Facebook Lead Ads (New Lead)
  2. Action: HubSpot (Find Contact)
  3. Action: HubSpot (Update Contact)

This way the Zap won’t create any duplicate records, and it will only update the important parameter that you’re referring to.

Please give that a try, and keep us posted!

Thanks! 😊

hi @ken.a

We just did it, For the time being, the only contact updated was the one who appears in the testing process. Can we expect the new Facebooks leads are updated too?

Thanks,

Ana

Hi @QueryMate

Jumping in to see if I can help!

Can you please create a sample trigger in Facebook Lead Ads to see if it achieves the goal of the Zap?

After triggering, you may check the Zap history or HubSpot.

Hi @Brem

The zap is already published, but when I check the Zap history → run action count → I see 2 success, 2 error, 2 halted and 3 skipped and I noticed that some errors must not be errors ( seems tlike the contact was not found, which is not true, I double check it) so, I opened a ticket.

Hope you can help me, for the time being, there are only 2 contacts update since yesterday.

Thanks,

Ana

Hi @QueryMate,

It seems like one of our Support Specialists has already responded to your ticket. Here’s what they said:

When you set multiple search values in the "Find Contact" action, HubSpot performs an AND query, so that only a contact matching ALL of the values provided will be returned.

In this case, only contacts that match the email and phone number input would be retrieved during the search.

If you have a number of contacts without their phone number, then you would need to adjust the Zap to stop searching with the phone number.

We kindly request you to continue the conversation with one of our Support Specialists to avoid any confusion.

Thanks! 😊

Hi @ken.a

Thank you for your reply.

I modified the search values, now I only use one: email. However, I still see a lot of skips and errors. Could you please put me in contact with a support specialist?

Thanks,

Ana

Hi there @QueryMate!

You’d need to reply directly to Support’s last email in order to continue the conversation with them. Sometimes their email replies can end up in junk/spam folders so it’s worth checking in there for it too.

We’d love to hear how you get on with this so please do report back to let us know how you get on! 🙂
