Question

Can DocuSign custom fields be used to name a PDF that auto downloads to OneDrive?

I have a Zap running that auto downloads completed DocuSigns to one drive. I’d like to use the custom fields within the document (client id, client name, etc) to name the PDF rather than things like sender. Is that an option?

Thanks,

Brandon

Hi @brandon2023

Good question.

In the DocuSign trigger, make sure to enable “Download form data?”.

Zap with Envelope sent or completed trigger not triggering/can't pull samples

A paid plan is needed to use this trigger

Any other potential restrictions with the DocuSign integration?

The envelope sent or completed trigger only checks for new envelopes every 15 minutes.

I have that option turned on. How do I tell the oneDrive step which form data I want to use in the file name of the PDF?

@brandon2023

You can use the ‘Custom’ option to map data points between Zap steps.

Troy, thanks for the reply. When I try and us the form data, in the action step, I see this “form data (exists but not shown)”. How do I make the connection to the form data?

After configuring the Zap step, test the DocuSign by filling out the esign.

Then refresh the Zap trigger test examples to pull thru new data.
