I am setting up leads from Meta/TikTok/Snapchat into Dynamics CRM. How many zaps will I need to use per lead if I want to capture the following information from each lead?

  • First name, last name, email, phone number (from the lead form)
  • Lead source (Meta, TikTok, Snapchat)
  • Campaign identifier from UTM
  • Date/time captured

Also, can anyone point me to documentation on how to setup the UTM capture?

Thank you!!

Hi @notanothercliche,

Welcome to the Community.

To send lead data from Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat to Dynamics CRM, you'll need to set up a separate Zap for each platform—three in total. Each Zap should capture the lead's first name, last name, email, phone number, lead source, UTM campaign identifier, and the date/time captured. To include UTM parameters, make sure they're part of the lead form URL and use Zapier's Webhooks tool to collect them.

Please note that setting up the Zaps will depend on each platform's API's specific features and options. For more details, consult the documentation for each platform.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi @notanothercliche

Hey there, @notanothercliche 👋

Just came across this and wanted to check how you got on. Did Jammer’s and Troy’s replies here help point you in the right direction?

If not, it’s likely that the UTM values need to be included in the lead forms that trigger the Zaps—probably in a hidden custom field. As Jammer mentioned you’d want three Zaps. Each would have a New Lead trigger that’s for a different app (e.g. one Facebook Lead Ads, TikTok and Snapchat). That way, when each Zap triggers for new leads, they can then pass the UTM values through to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.

If there’s only one action step in those Zaps (to add the lead into Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM), then each time a Zap runs, it will use one task.

Keep us posted on how you’re getting on, want to make sure you’re all set! 🙂
