Bulk sends with Gmail suspended Gmail email account

Hello - recently I received an email from Google that my gmail account is suspended because I've been sending too many emails through Zapier.

I have automated about 20,000 emails in the past couple of weeks and I've been sending them all through Gmail. Is there a better way to send emails so I can avoid being marked as spam? All 20,000 have accepted being sent emails by the way.

They are volunteers signing up for a program and this is their welcome email. How can I best send a high number of emails through Zapier?

I tried Mailchimp but I have to write the email in Zapier because I am integrating a custom generated Google drive link into the email.

My zap goes as follows:

Volunteer registers through my website
Zapier creates a Google drive folder in their name
Zapier sends them a welcome email along with embedding the new Google drive link into the body of the email.

Hi @areyouhappy

Try using a transactional email service such as Mailgun: https://zapier.com/apps/categories/transactional-email

Hi @areyouhappy,

Thanks for the question. Gmail implements sending limits on their accounts: https://support.google.com/a/answer/166852 and it sounds like you exceeded those limits for this workflow.

Setting up an automation in Mailchimp or similar would be the best way to trigger a welcome series to that many subscribers, but I understand from your note that the Google Drive link you wish to embed is created in the Zap 🤔

I did some searching and found this article about creating personalized files in Mailchimp - do you think that may work for you? https://mailchimp.com/help/use-merge-tags-to-send-personalized-files/

You could then use the Add Subscriber to Tag action in your Zap, to add the subscriber to the automation you have created in Mailchimp.

Hope this helps!
