Bulk import inventory data into Shopify action

Hello,

New user. Tested with SQLServer update to shopify and works well. We modified, added & deleted products in SQLServer & Zapier translated that to our Shopify (test) store.

The question is: can Zapier do the initial inventory load (over 380,000 items) and how would we accomplish that? Currently we only have a few thousand products to test.

Thank you for any help or ideas!

Not sure Zapier is going to be the right tool to use for 1000s of products for an initial inventory load.

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling as such, but wanted to see if anyone else had done it.

Thank you & take care!

Hi @TFront!

Troy is right that Zapier isn’t the best tool for big bulk imports like this. We know that some folks do smaller imports using Google Sheets and a new row trigger, but that definitely wouldn’t help you here.

It looks like Shopify allows import vs csv so that might be an option? Here’s a help guide from Shopify on that.
