Hi Zapier Community

I’m Sachin, a Data Science master’s student at a USA based university. For my final project I need to deliver a fully functional conversational chatbot on our university website. We scraped the site to ingest program details, policies and FAQs. We originally prototyped a RAG-based solution and evaluated Rasa, Lex and LangChain, but halfway through we realized we only have a month to ship. So we pivoted to a Zapier-powered chatbot.

Now we need your expert advice to build the best possible bot and convince our university to adopt Zapier as the core platform. Specifically I’d love input on:

  1. Designing conversation flows purely with Zaps

  2. How Zapier handles data privacy and security for student queries

  3. Recommended triggers, actions and automations for keeping our knowledge base up to date

  4. Prompt-design techniques in Code by Zapier or Formatter steps to ensure accuracy, context awareness and conciseness

  5. Strategies for error handling, logging and monitoring as usage scales

  6. Tips for framing and presenting this Zapier solution to university stakeholders
