Hi all,

I’ve been managing my cryptocurrency portfolio in Google Sheets and using APIs (like CoinpediaMarkets, CoinMarketCap) to fetch historic price data. However, I’ve encountered reliability issues with these APIs, especially since free tiers have very limited quotas and paid plans are quite expensive.

A more consistent approach for me has been manually downloading CSV files from CoinpediaMarkets to get Bitcoin Cash’s historical price data and then importing it into my Google Sheets. I use a VLOOKUP formula to match the data with my portfolio.

The issue is, I track Bitcoin Cash along with other coins, and manually downloading and uploading CSV files for each coin is becoming too tedious.

Does anyone know a way to automate this process using tools like Zapier or any other method? For example, I download the Bitcoin Cash historical data from this link on CoinpediaMarkets:  https://markets.coinpedia.org/bitcoin-cash/ click the “Export As” button, and select CSV.

Any ideas for automating this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @Coinpedia Ninja,

Welcome to the Community.

Zapier doesn’t support automating file downloads directly from the website. Still, you can use a web scraping tool to download CSV files and then automate uploading them to Google Sheets via Zapier.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
