Hi all,

We’re launching an event with multiple acquisition channels (google ads, email, fb, linkedin, etc) that redirects to a landing page in Wix where they register on a form. UTMs are used for each to distinguish where they come from. This form is then connected to HubSpot via Zapier to create/update a contact in the database.

Since all registrants will pass through Zapier, how do you correctly “map” the Latest Source in Zapier so HubSpot shows which channel the registrant converted if the Zapier field only contains the Wix form fields?

Thanks so much!

Hi @azelleflores

If the UTM parameters come thru on the Wix form submit, then you can map those to the desired HubSpot object field using the ‘CUSTOM’ tab.

If you still need help, then post screenshots with how your steps are outlined and configured along with a specific example DATA OUT from the trigger step.

Hi Troy, thanks for the reply. The UTM parameters aren’t part of the Wix form itself, we use it primarily for GA4 but was hoping there was a way to map to each contact which specific UTM link they clicked from as part of the integration. That’s where I’m not sure how exactly it can be mapped in custom.

@azelleflores

UTM data would need to come thru on the Wix data to be mapped in the Zap action steps.

The Wix Form may need to be configured to capture the UTM parameters.

We used Zapier to pass all form submissions to HubSpot, but what I find weird though is that some of the contacts were properly mapped in HubSpot Original Source and Drill Downs, according to the UTM parameters set without adding a custom field in Wix nor mapping anything in Zapier.

Capturing the UTM parameters in the Wix form makes the most sense though. But any idea what the basis is as to when/how they are mapped and when they aren’t?

@azelleflores

Data set in HubSpot is dependent upon how the data was sent into HubSpot. (e.g. via Zap, via native integrations, etc.)
