Basic question. How do you populate a Googlesheet with the right headers for a spreadsheet?

I’m a beginner with Zapier and I have a rookie question.

When I am setting up a Zap to populate a Googlesheet with data, how do I create the initial spreadsheet with the right headers?

Do I set up a single-use zap to do that?

I figure there must be an automatic way to populate a Googlesheet with the right header for an imported Paypal spread, for example.

Hi @Mindsprings Meditation!

Most folks would set it up manually as the columns that you need to add should reflect the information that you need to store (either so you can use it in another step of a Zap, or just because you need the info in a sheet!).

If you do want to automate the process, you can use the Create Spreadsheet action. This gives you the option of copying an existing sheet or creating a new one and adding your own headers.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any questions!
