Autoreply to Slack Message but not one in thread

Hello,

Is there a way to create a Slack trigger that only occurs when someone posts a message in a slack channel that is NOT in a thread? For example, I want a bot to come whenever someone sends a new message in channel X, but if someone replies to this new message in a thread, I don’t want this bot to pop up again.

Hi Troy,

 

I tried this method and now I have a Zap loop even though the “Trigger for Bot Messages?” is set to no. Any thoughts?

You can add another Filter condition to exclude messages posted by the bot/user.

 

Otherwise, are you able to post screenshots with how each Zap step is configured for us to have more context?
