Hi Team, one of your competitors, Pipedream, is able to automate the submitting of comments on reddit. I am wondering why this feature is unavailable in your offering. The natural addition to this feature request is to not comment on my Reddit accounts own comments or else the automation will just talk to itself infinitely. Can you please advise of the best way to accomplish this or request it? I believe my company has the highest paid account for Zapier so any support is greatly appreciated.
Hi
Good question.
Available Reddit Zap triggers/actions: https://zapier.com/apps/reddit/integrations#triggers-and-actions
You may need to add a Filter step to the Zap: https://zapier.com/apps/filter/help
I know what is available, my question is why does your competitor have an important option that you do not have and which I need? I do not see a submit reddit comment action available on that list. I will have to start siphoning some of our automation needs to Pipedream instead.
How can I submit a feature request to be able to automate submitting reddit comments?
Feature requests can be submitted to be logged via a ticket to Zapier Support: https://zapier.com/app/get-help
For API endpoints (actions) you don’t see available, the Reddit API Request Zap action can likely be used:
FYI: Most apps on Zapier are built and maintained by the app developers themselves.
Not sure whether Reddit or Zapier owns the Reddit Zap app integration as that info is not publicly listed.
You can inquire more via a ticket to Zapier Support.
Support said it is a feature request that has other requests for it but they not working on it. I will have to go with Pipedream for this it seems.
Appreciate you swinging back around to update the thread,
