Question

Automatically send part of an email body to Slack

How do I extract only a section of the email’s text from the email’s body?

The information I need is in the middle of a lot of text that is above and below what I need zapped into slack.

Is there a way to do this?

Hi @North Commerce

Good question.

What you are seeking is referred to as parsing.

There are a few ways to do this…

  1. Formatter > Text > Split
  2. Code
  3. Email Parser by Zapier
    1. I’d recommend Mailparser

Hey @North Commerce, checking back in. Did you have any questions on parsing or any of the options above? Let us know if you were able to test things out!

Hi Chanelle!

Currently experimenting with https://parser.zapier.com/. Thank you for the solutions! Will come back if I have any more questions.

Thank you,

Stephen
