How would you program a weekly zap to search the internet for all of the latest news published in the last week on a specific topic (i.e. BESS), aggregate these headlines into an email newsletter with a short AI summary for each and send this to a mailing list?
Hi
Some resources to help you get started…
- Schedule
- RSS
- Digest
- AI Zap app: https://zapier.com/apps/categories/artificial-intelligence
- Email App
- Depends on which email app will be used.
- Zap apps can be searched here: https://zapier.com/apps
I would use Google Alerts to first send this report to my inbox.
Then I would use “new email” as the trigger for the zap. Which will likely take some filtering so that it only triggers on this one email, once per week.
Since that email already has headlines and previews, you could just take that content and directly add it to the newsletter body. Or if you want it to be reconfigured or sound more like you wrote it, then you could use a ChatGPT or AI by Zapier action step to accomplish that.
However, for your final step, we’d have to know which newsletter provider you’re using. Some already have actions developed for you to create and send the newsletter directly from Zapier. Others require that you do all that via webhooks and the newsletter’s API (which also require a few more steps within that platform itself, like setting up templates and/or placeholders for the zapier text to be inserted).
