Auto renewal - refund refused

I was surprised to find my bank account was charged with an amount from Zapier. I do not use them anymore. Apparently an auto renewal. I could not find a setting called “Auto Revnewal” or something to that effect, that would have enabled me to cancel it. Within 2 days I emailed Zapier support to request cancellation of autoreneal and a refund. The first response from their support was that I can change for free plan after one year, but no refund will be issued. I wrote again, that this is unfair and aggressive practice. Zapier second email said “… We are unable to continue the conversation for refund.” This closed the ticket, as a result, it will get automated responses from there. I am disgusted by this aggressive behaviour. It is interesting to note, that Zapier has begun to push and promote their AI functionalities the past months. I get the sense of desperation of them trying to stay relevant. If Zapier wants us to continue to engage, you are achieving the opposite. Coming back to the auto renewal and aggressive refusal to engage with me, I am now even more convinced not to deal with them for my own processes, neither for any clients I am helping with automation.

Hi @AndriesS 👋

I’m sorry to hear about the unexpected charge and that our Support team weren’t able to offer a refund. Unfortunately, I’m not able to help overturn any refund decisions, but I didn't want your feedback here to get lost, so I've shared it with the team.

Thanks for taking the time to flag this.
