The workflow should be something like
“New Forum Post” → “Find User” → “Add role”
The problem is, the “New Forum Post” trigger doesn’t have the data of the usernames/user ID of the forum poster, so I cannot pull out the data to “Find User”.

After looking into this, it appears that you are correct - the "New Forum Post" trigger does not return the "Username" to use in the subsequent step.
