Simple Zap setup: Whenever a new record is added to airtable (through an airtable form), email a confirmation to the email associated with the new record that was added through SendGrid. I am on a SendGrid trial (40k emails for the month), and when I set up my Zap both the airtable and SendGrid tests work fine, and the Zap seems successful. However, when I actually add a record to the table I do not get an email. 

Can someone confirm that if I am not on SendGrid pro, even if the Zap tests do work the actual Zap will not work? Want to make sure that is the case before I upgrade SendGrid.

As you said, only Pro Plan and higher SendGrid accounts can connect to Zapier: https://zapier.com/help/doc/common-problems-sendgrid-zapier

You can maybe find a different workaround using another service?
