Add GoToWebinar Unique Registrant URL to Custom Field in Hubspot Contact Record

Trying to extract the unique registrant URL that GoToWebinar generates for all webinar registrants and add it to a custom field (in our case - “GoToWebinar Join URL”) that’s been set up on the contact record in Hubspot.

We’d like to use that custom field with the unique URL in automated emails as part of a workflow that shares the registrant confirmation (as a personalization token in the Hubspot email) to registrants after they register and in subsequent email reminders.

The challenge has been figuring out how to set up the Zap correctly to accomplish this. Have tried this setup:

  1. New Registrant in GoToWebinar
  2. Find or Create Contact in Hubspot (have tried w/ this step and w/out this step)
  3. Update Contact in Hubspot

Searched around and came across this blog article (how-to) that does a great job of explaining exactly what we want to do (from Extracting a GoToWebinar URL point in the article), but the walk-through is based on an old instance of Zapier and it’s been difficult to replicate in the 2021 UI.

Any help or suggestions or guidance is SUPER appreciated.

Hi @sailor_blue!

It looks like you’ve made a great start!

The Zap steps you’ve outlined are how I would attempt to do this. Is there a specific part of the Zap that’s not doing what you need it to do? Or maybe a field that you can’t see?
