Split text function not able to select individual output in following step

Hello,

I’m using the “Split Text” function and in the next step I’m unable to choose the individual outputs because it’s still keeping them as one result. Any ideas? 

Emails have been separated and there are two outputs
There is only one output available.

Try instead to use Formatter > Utilities > Line Items to Text.

You are likely trying to pass in an array of line items which is different than a text string.

Thanks @Troy Tessalone! I tried all of the segment selections and both emails still populate as one result in the next step for some reason - I technically only need the first email returned (internal user). 

I’m trying to use this result in a lookup table of User IDs and it keeps failing since it contains two email addresses. Any troubleshooting ideas? I already deleted the step and re-added.
