Inviting to Slack

I would like to use a zap to invite people to a slack instance.  I see a “invite to channel” but I don’t see an invite to instance task.

Is this possible?

Get an invite link for your Slack workspace.

Thanks Troy...Ideally, I’d like to control access by inviting specific users, and not open my instance up with a live link.

So, I’m still looking for a Zapper task that can send an invite to a specified email address, while also setting the name, to mimic what I can do as a Slack administrator.

Likely going to involve the Slack API: https://api.slack.com/methods/admin.users.invite

Hi @ClubPres!

To expand a bit on what Troy posted above, this would require digging into the Slack API since that action isn’t supported by the Slack integration. You can use Webhooks by Zapier or you can look into creating your own private integration using Zapier’s Developer Platform.

One thing to note is this:

In the meantime, I’ve gone ahead and created a feature request for that on our end. If/when that gets added you’ll be notified via email :)
