I set up webhook for Linktree and tried to connect with action to add new contacts to GetResponse.

After performing quick test I get the error message” Cannot add contact that is blocked. Resource state forbids that kind of action

Troubleshooting does not help because it suggests things like disable double opt-in (which in my case is disabled) or create a filter for occassion when a contact already exists but in this case the contact doesn’t exist - it’s a test@linktree.ee

Any ideas what I could do?

Hi @KateOs

It’s likely due to the dummy data being used to test.

Some apps have built in validation for “test” data.

Try using different data to test the Zap: https://zapier.com/help/create/basics/change-the-test-data-in-your-zap-trigger

I thought I already tested with different one but apparently not. Problem solved. Thank you man.

However, now the test was successful and my Zap is switched on, I checked what happens when I subscribe via LinkTree and that new email address was not added to the dedicated GetResponse list.

I wonder where the problem could be now.

I can see that the Webhooks is a Premium feature so is it possible that that’s the reason why the contact is not added for the active zap?

@KateOs

Best place to troubleshoot is your Zap Runs: https://zapier.com/app/history

You can see the DATA IN/OUT for each Zap step and see if there are errors/issues on a Zap step.

Search by the email address used to test live to narrow down the Zap Run results.

You’re the best 🙌
