Question

Need to add new opt ins (FormSpree) to Active Campaign via Webhook, and I'm stuck.

I’ve started the process of linking FormSpree & Zapier with a webhook.

But I’m not clear on what I need to do to actually add the new names/email addresses coming in, as a subscriber on a list in ActiveCampaign.  

I can’t find this info anywhere!

Zap Steps:

  1. Trigger: Webhook - Catch Hook
    1. Provides the webhook URL to configure in Formspree
  2. Action: ActiveCampaign - Create/Update Contact

Thank you!  I’m still a little stuck. 

 

I completed step 1, and tested.  

 

I’m stuck on what to fill in after choosing the “list” in active campaign.

 

 What do I fill in for ID, Email address, and then there’s all the other form fields (first name, last name… what is it wanting me to do here?  

I want it to subscribe new form submissions to a particular email list in Active Campaign which will then trigger them to be added to an automation within Active Campaign.

Make sure to reference the description under each field for guidance.

Only field marked as required must be populated.

You can use the ‘Custom’ option to map dynamic variables between Zap steps.

Hi Troy,

 

I feel like all this is another language to me.  I believe that only these 2 fields are required, correct?  I don’t understand whatsoever, what it is asking for - (example - what does this mean:  “IF THIS IS NOT PROVIDED ‘email’ MUST BE. )

 

What does this ACTUALLY mean in terms of what I’m supposed to enter in these two fields?   I have no context or understanding of what to enter here.  Sorry, but I’m at pre-K level here, lol.

Yes, based on the field descriptions 1 of those fields is conditionally required.

You’d map the email address from step 1.
